Project Development Package
How long does a Project Development Package take?
Timing is confirmed after the initial review because it depends on project complexity and how complete the available information is. A standard project can move efficiently once the required notes, measurements, costs, selections, and subcontractor information are available. Missing decisions or information pause the delivery timeline until they are resolved.
What do I need to send?
Send what currently exists: walkthrough notes, photos, measurements, plans, selections, cost information, subcontractor bids, client requests, exclusions, and any commitments already discussed. It does not need to be organized before you contact us. ABDOREN will identify what is usable, what is missing, and what must be decided.
Does ABDOREN set my prices or choose my subcontractors?
No. Your pricing, markup, subcontractor relationships, and business decisions remain yours. ABDOREN structures the information you approve and identifies gaps that may affect the scope, price, responsibility, or handoff.
What happens after the package is delivered?
The standard engagement ends when the agreed package is delivered. Your team carries the defined project through production and closeout. Additional clarification, revisions outside the agreed scope, or continued project support require a separate engagement for the project or an ongoing monthly engagement.
How many revisions are included?
The standard Project Development Package includes one consolidated revision round. Corrections to ABDOREN's work are handled within the agreed scope. New information, changed selections, altered pricing, or expanded work may require an additional fee and revised delivery date.
Does ABDOREN guarantee that every condition will be found?
No document development process can identify concealed field conditions or information that was not provided or reasonably observable. ABDOREN pursues a thorough definition based on the records, decisions, and visible conditions available. The contractor remains responsible for field verification, code compliance, licensing, and execution.
Contractor Document System
Do I have to rebuild my entire document system?
No. An engagement may address one document, one operational process, a coordinated group of documents, or the company's complete system. The initial review determines the most useful scope.
How long does Document System work take?
There is no single timeline because the service can range from one document to an operating system for the entire company. Timing depends on the documents already in use, the number of people and processes involved, the decisions that must be made, onsite observation, review cycles, and the final deliverables. The schedule is defined before the engagement begins.
Will you give us ABDOREN's or another contractor's templates?
No. ABDOREN may use construction experience to recognize the questions your system must answer, but your documents are developed around your workflow, responsibilities, payment practices, communication structure, and closeout process.
Will you work from the documents we already use?
Yes. Existing estimates, contracts, policies, forms, handoffs, and internal procedures are part of the discovery process. ABDOREN identifies where they support actual practice, where they conflict, and what must be defined before the system can become repeatable.
Will you need to visit our office or jobsites?
Possibly. A focused document may require interviews and document review only. A broader operating system engagement may require time in the office, conversations with responsible team members, jobsite observation, and testing against real projects. The required involvement is included in the agreed scope and fee.
Are the completed documents legal advice?
No. ABDOREN develops operational and construction documents from the company's approved practices and project information. ABDOREN is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Documents with legal effect should be reviewed by qualified counsel in the contractor's state and local jurisdiction before use.
Trust, ownership, and engagement
Is our company information confidential?
ABDOREN may review client information, internal pricing, subcontractor bids, and company procedures only to perform the agreed work. We do not use one contractor's confidential pricing or operating information to build another contractor's system, and we do not contact homeowners or subcontractors without authorization.
Who owns the finished work?
Once the engagement is paid in full, the client owns the completed deliverables created specifically for its company, subject to the written agreement. ABDOREN retains its existing methods, general knowledge, internal tools, and materials that were not created exclusively for the client.
How does an engagement begin?
Begin with an initial request and send the information described on the Start a Project page. ABDOREN reviews the need before confirming fit, deliverables, responsibilities, fee, payment schedule, timing, and required information in writing. Submitting a request alone does not create an engagement.
